I'm watching the "he said he said" debate with baseball player Roger Clemens and his one time trainer being played out in the national press and television media with no small amount of bewilderment. I'm watching the Congress participate in this circus with no small amount of horror. Given the number of other issues we as a country have to deal with I can't understand why we are allowing Congress to spend time on this and now, apparently, the Justice Department going forward. The terrorists, drug dealers, crooked businessmen, all must be laughing this week as they watch their chances of being caught drop significantly while we try and figure out whether Roger did or didn't lie. Even if we find out what have we really accomplished?

it does not pay to be deposed before congress...it just dosent.
if you forgot you were at a party where the wives were talking about boob jobs you are libel as a perjurer.
Whether or not Clemens is guilty or innocent, he is a moron for going before congress.
the burden of proof is on the government not on Clemens.....
Congress critters calling someone a liar. Hypocrisy anyone?
