PARIS, France (AP) -- Police said Friday that a body found in the River Seine was that of Katoucha Niane, a former top model for Yves Saint Laurent and other top designers who spoke out against female genital mutilation after quitting the catwalks. The body of former top model Katoucha Niane has been found in the river Seine. 1 of 2 Paris judicial police said her body was found Thursday near the Garigliano bridge in Paris. Police said an autopsy showed no signs of foul play, pointing to the possibility that she may have accidentally fallen into the river. She had been missing since January and was last seen returning home from a party. She lived in a houseboat near Paris' Alexandre III bridge, and her handbag was later found on the boat. Katoucha became one of the first African women to attain stardom as a supermodel, becoming a muse for Saint Laurent and posing for top photographers like Irving Penn.

"Perhaps you need an education on First Amendment Rights?"
Uh, no.
Apparently you have a reading comprehension problem. Or is it that your monitor is so spittle-flecked that you can't read?
I don't see how you could "ALWAYS have a great day" when you're carrying around such anger and bitterness.
So you support female genital mutilation. Got it. Thanks.
IBTZ?
one can only hope....
I’m off this thread. There’s just no talking to people like that...
“So you support female genital mutilation. Got it. Thanks.”
No, never said that.
I don’t support hooker dressing. Perhaps you do?
Another victim of "accidental Islam"! Speak out against the horrors of Islam and die, but its "accidental".
This report says her handbag was found "near" her houseboat, not "on" it like CNN states.

NMH, read this and this before you start mouthing off to anyone else.
I always knew Jim Rob could do that
You support it. That’s why you are so giddy that this “whore” is dead.
You obviously don't have a daughter over 18. If and when you do, you have some surprises in store.
If you are able to keep her from walking around like that, you must be a muzlim in a muzlim country and will have to stone her by her 22nd birthday.
It really bothers you when others criticize it.
Have you ever wondered why criticism of this "look" bothers YOU so much? Perhaps you don't have young girls ... we do. We don't want them walking around like that. It's a struggle today ... Britney Spears etc.. are constantly cheapening females with their dress and antics. We're tired of it. Again, no daughter of mine would walk around LIKE THAT for $$$$$. We have higher standards. That is what I object to. It’s too bad, she forgot about standards .... All you leave behind is a reputation ... .
“I spout the obvious for those that can see.”
A whore acts. A whore doesn’t “look.” So perhaps you need to learn to see with other eyes.
I just hope that the thread itself stays up. This is yet another example (quite possibly) of someone who dares to ‘out’ the treatment of women in Islamic countries. The UN, NOW, they all gloss over it as cultural differences (or some other benign lable). It has been women like Iman, and this model who use their celebrity to try and right what goes on in their countries. Its the Salmon Rushdie affect...they seek to destroy.
I’m sure that someone is outcrying that the River Seine must be FULL of preservatives to keep a body fully identifiable for over a month.
Every aspect of this article sickens me, except I did learn of the book “In my Flesh” which is something I will track down and read.
All you leave behind is a reputation...
Well then Katoucha Niane is leaving behind a pretty brave one, because she stood up to the Islamic crazies and called them out for what they do to young girls. May she rest in peace, and may her killers be found (though I fear France will even investigage...maybe some of her model friends will keep the pressure on this case).
In the Google search, it also seems she was a champion of women’s rights against Muslim oppression. I have no idea what comments were zotted, but from what I can find, she was a great woman.
Your First Amendment right to speak freely does not give you a right to use someone else's privately-owned forum any more than your Second Amendment right to carry a weapon gives you a right to use someone else's firearms.
To be fair, I know of several families who have daughters who are over 18, who live on their own (some more, some less), who are not Muslims, and who dress chastely of their own volition.
I guess it all depends on how well you raise them.
