Good question!

If it was my job to set up primaries, the party faithful would vote on the candidates and independents could sit it out until the general election. Unfortunately, that is not the hand we were dealt.

Given that democrats and independents helped McCain, why should we be shy about helping to pick our democrat opponent.

I don’t think it’s a good idea at all. I also don’t think the way we do primaries (repubs) is the way to do them. Have them all on the same day with all the candidates and let’s see who wins.
