He and Hillary Clinton have worked for months to get the votes of the homosexual community, even appearing in August at a historic Democratic presidential forum devoted solely to homosexual issues. On the Republican side, all the then top-tier candidates snubbed the Values Voter's Debate. Ah, but the winner of that debate is still standing, Mike Huckabee.
Wanting the repeal of DOMA proves what a phony argument the left put forth against the Marriage Amendment. States' rights? Ha! If they were for states' rights they would want to keep the DOMA. They just keep shifting their arguments. First it is about privacy. Now it is about public recognition and benefits. At one moment it is about states' rights. The next moment they want to repeal the DOMA so they can force all states to recognize homosexual marriage. Truthfulness means nothing to them.
It is interesting how far left we have all come. In 1996 most of the Democrats didn't dare not vote for DOMA. Today, the Republicans are running from traditional Judeo-Christian values and can't form a decent argument for our side if their lives depended on it, even though nature, reason, commonsense, and history are all on our side. Where will we be in another 12 years?

McCain simply throws sand on the oily slope to the dung heap of liberalism.
Makes me puke to think I have to vote against someone to slow down the inevitable. Oh, did I say f'n PUKE!

GWB has worn us out, McCain is merely the candidate of our weakness, yet he still can win, now whether that means we will have lost more then we have won remains to be seen.
We have choice of clear and convincing Cultural Destruction vs Amoralism personafied, nice choices, if one more Independent says how happy they are that mcCain was nominated I may go postal...
