Richardson, Texas (AP) -- Maybe all the criticism from Rush Limbaugh is sinking in.

Republican presidential hopeful Sen. John McCain almost called himself a liberal on Thursday, getting ahead of himself as he contrasted himself with the Democratic candidates.

"I'm a proud, conservative, liberal Republi- Hello! Easy there," McCain said, laughing along with his audience

Actually Nazi’s are so far to the right that they are butt buddies with the Communists who are too far to the left.

But in the final analysis it was a joke and sarcasm.

The only “fact of life” is this.

It’s not about “The Party” it’s about standing for what you believe in and not willing to compromise any further.

Those who think we haven’t really thought this through are deluding themselves.

McCain gets the nomination and the republican party will be completely out of power.

Actually, the National Socialists were not remotely right-wing, certainly not in the sense that we see right-wingers as at the very least capitalist. The Nazis were neither pro-capitalism nor pro-communism, but to pretend they were simply on either side is a fabrication pushed onto the label by the left. In fact, the Nazi party’s platform statement that it demanded “struggle without consideration against those whose activity is injurious to the general interest...” is remarkably utilitarian and anti-individualist, which is antithetical to right-wingers’ views.

It truly is hard for him to understand who he really is in this *campaign*. That showed today.

It is my understanding that mclame voted against the Bush tax cuts because there were not offsetting reductions in government spending.

If osama gets elected I would rather have a neutered Republican party, than a crippled Country run by a muslim communist.

“Actually Nazi’s are so far to the right that they are butt buddies with the Communists who are too far to the left.”

My point is that the “far right” description of Nazis is extremely misleading given the conventional designation of conservatives as right wing, because Nazis are exactly opposite conservatives on all the important issues: value of human life, absolute moral righteousness of Christianity, individual liberty, private property, free markets.
