Putin offers nukes to Serbia

LONDON – MI6 agents have monitored secret meetings between top Serbian officials and Russian President Vladimir Putin's anointed successor, Dmitry Medvedev, to discuss the installation of Russian nuclear missiles to contribute to what he told a Moscow election rally this weekend would "help to ensure Serbian security."

The president-in-waiting – no one seriously believes any other candidate will win this coming Sunday's election – also will ensure that President Vladimir Putin will become the nation's prime minister, effectively remaining the real power behind Medvedev after stepping down from the presidency.

"In fact Putin's descent into the prime minister's chair is the most interesting facet of the current situation. Putin has not revealed the motivation behind the decision to exchange his role as 'popularity god' for one of a simple bureaucrat," reveals an MI6 report.

The author, a senior analyst, concludes: "The acceptance of the prime minister's job is no more than a front – ensuring he remains the powerful puppeteer behind the puppet."

Certainly Putin's hand can be deduced in the threat to plant nuclear missiles in the region – so as to provide Russia with its own version of America's Star Wars.

In the past week, Medvedev's offer to provide missiles has escalated an already tense situation in the region. If Russian missiles are installed in Serbia, it could spread. Kosovo could become the first testing ground for Russia's new president as he continues to support the ever-deepening confrontation between Moscow and the West.

Bombing Orthodox Christian Serbia, occupying its ancient spiritual homeland (most of the pre-Communist land deeds in Kosovo are held by the Orthodox Church), and violating the agreements under which NATO troops were permitted into Serbia without resistance by recognizing the Muslim Albanians’ unilateral declaration of independence is offensive.

Russia providing a nuclear shield for Serbia is no more offensive than what the US did vis-a-vis Western Europe during WW III (a.k.a. the Cold War).

No problem. Once Obama goes there and gives big kisses to everyone, I’m sure the issue will be solved.

‘Radical Islam’ is not a unitary phenomenon. Unlike the US, which has both Sunni and Shi’ite enemies (and Sunni and Shi’ite allies—and I’m not talking about the untrustworthy Saudis, I’m talking about people actually risking their lives fighting on our side in Iraq and Afghanistan) Russia happens to have no Shi’ite enemies, and thus thinks it can use Iran as a pawn in a game of balance-of-power politics vis-a-vis the US.

In the Balkans, as in Chechenya, (and as in the days of the Ottomans in that whole region) Sunni Islam is at war with Orthodox Christians (dhimmitude was a perpetual state of low-grade war on the subject peoples, and Imperial Russia often used its armed might to pressure the Sultan to treat his Christian subject better).

Idiotically, given that Al Qaeda, a Sunni organization that would as gladly murder Shi’ites as Americans, has ties to the KLA, in the Balkans, the US has decided to side with the Sunnis.

We and our NATO allies have bombed and occupied Orthodox Christian land to steal it and give it to Sunni Muslims with ties to Al Qaeda.

When Russia bombs and occupies land to steal it from Western Christians, Jews or secularists to give it to their Shi’ite clients, then, maybe, American will have a right to be upset with Russia’s dealings with Islam. Until then, or until the US reverses course in the Balkans, we have no right to complain about Russian behavior in that regard.

GO SERBS!

I don’t blame them for wanting this level of protection after the way we have been treating them.

With nukes they can move forces into Kosovo and remove the Albanian scum from their land.

What, so the Russians are going to nuke Kosovo for Serbia?

So much for Kosovo being “sacred ground” to the Serbs.

Oh, wait a minute, this from WND. I'll believe this when I hear it from a reliable source.

Hey, if our Obama Mama gets in, he will put a stop to all this nuclear nonsense. He’ll get rid of ours and the rest of the world can hit us with theirs. Makes sense, doesn’t it?

OTHER than the bit about Russia having no Shi’ite enemies (they may hate each other but the Islamists hate the non-believers more) everything else in your post is spot-on, IMHO.

How are the Russians going to get nukes into Serbia? Take a look at a map people! No nation on Serbian borders is going to give overflight rights for transport aircraft carrying nuclear weapons. You couldn’t make this stuff up! Wait a minute they just did!

Serbia would once again take up its thankless role of defending Europe against the jihad.

Yes,but we can not fight the US.

The point is in the as yet hypothetical circumstance of Russia positioning nuclear weapons in Serbia, the US would not fight.

Bulgaria, Its a Russian ally, doesn’t matter how pro-western they pretend to be, they will always be Russian allies because unlike everyone else, it was Russia who liberated them not USA.
