He obviously has calculated that he does not need Conservative votes. And is actually trying to get Democrat votes by attacking Conservatives, as usual.

I think that he knows that conservatives are in the end, rational people, and they will, however reluctantly, vote for someone who they are less thrilled with in order to stop a man who is has no experience and who is against everything they stand for. I also believe that McCain knows that Obama and the media who love to make this election a referendum on bigotry and he is trying to cut off that meme early to the extent possible.

Then he is miscalculating, Conservatives are at their wits end, and will not support another Democrat (which McCain is).

He is also insulting and assuming that Conservatives are bigots, so he is trying to protect himself from the smears of the MSM, by distancing himself.

Instead of defending us, he sides against us in a lie about racism, bigotry, homophobia, sexism, and other leftwing smears.

And he will do it as President too. Fortunately for his political career, he has enough liberal voters locked up that he can win. He does not need Conservatives at all.

So, its rational to assume that rational conservatives will not loose sleep over not voting for him, lol. And will just vote down ticket. No big deal for McCain.

Keep dreaming, LWalk18! You’re making assumptions about people with strongly held beliefs, who pattern their lives after their beliefs—not voting for “the lesser of two evils” which they’ve been burned doing with Bush.

Conservatives won’t be voting for McNasty unless he makes promises that cut against his grain—on Amnesty, especially. Just consider your man “toast” as Obama will grab enough Independent votes away from McLame to win.
