The consequences are that Cunninham probably will get a national talk show now and McCain will lose even more supporters.

Doubtful, on both counts.

But consider the consequences of Cunningham's actions. If you're right, who's Cunningham hurting most? That's right ... all of us. Boy, now there's a heroic fellow.

Mr McCain took full responsibility for Cunningham’s remarks. Therefore, if you’re right, McCain has hurt all of us.
