Mega-Church Pastor in Texas Backs McCain
By Elisabeth Bumiller
SAN ANTONIO Senator John McCain got support on Wednesday from an important corner of evangelical Texas when the pastor of a San Antonio mega-church, Rev. John C. Hagee, endorsed Mr. McCain for president.
Mr. Hagee, who argues that the United States must join Israel in a preemptive, biblically prophesized military strike against Iran that will lead to the second coming of Christ, praised Mr. McCain for his pro-Israel views.
John McCain has publicly stated his support of the state of Israel, pledging that his administration will not permit Iran to have nuclear weapons to fulfill the evil dreams of President Ahmadinejad to wipe Israel off the map,' Mr. Hagee said at a news conference at the Omni Hotel in San Antonio.
Mr. Hagee also praised Mr. McCain for his solid, pro-life voting record for the past 24 years.'

Tee-Hee, that is a drive by media throw in, like a Mulligan or a Gimmie..
Hagee is really big on Evangelical/Israel ties, so McCain must have strong pro Israel positions that we never hear about in the Drive Thru Media..
Absolutely. Nukes were built on the promise of reducing the need for large American forces, among other selling points.
We reduced the forces, but have not adequately relied on nucs to guarantee the freedom of our allies. Certainly a case can be made for them in some parts of the world. Sure there would be a political backlash and gnashing of teeth. That is why we have more than a few. Calm the angry crowds. Use em or lose em.
Hamas??? Talibani?? Jihadis gone wild? Problem fixed.
Use them or lose their utility.
You are right, and it all starts with the new incoming President, whoever it may be. (not much difference anyway)
Not in the important things, anyway.
I should have quantified that with saying that I read it written on a bathroom wall.
Odd, so do the Jews...
Pastor Hagee believes in GOD. He believes in the Scripture. He believes in helping people understand this. I believe he is right.
Revelation 17
1. Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, "Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters. Persian Gulf Arabian Sea Red Sea Gulf of Aden Gulf of Oman Mediterranean Sea Caspian Sea Black Sea.
I don't suppose the author provides a source for that statement.
It's all in the book/movie called "Epicenter" by Joel C. Rosenburg. The DVD version of Epicenter features Dr. Tim LaHaye of the Left Behind series. So it's big in the Evangelical/End Times crowd, and really is quite fascinating to see how the prophecies in the Bible/Koran are converging.
It’s always good to have facts on the ready. Good Post
These are Islamic nations and these references tie up with Ezekiel 38 and Zechariah 12:2 and Psalm 83. The word ALL is a synecdoche and represents some of ALL, many people try to apply ALL to ALL and unfortunately this is where their conclusion will fail. It is evident even in Isaiah 34 that the judgment although is against ALL Islamic nations but the land mentioned is Edom that means the object of the wrath are those nations that gather together to destroy Israel.
Hagar would be most disappointed in your knowledge.
James Dobson is NOT endorsing John McCain.
I stand by Dobson over Hagee.
It would be nice if John McArthur made a statement regarding John McCain also.

“Pastor Hagee is giving his opinion. His choices are slim but he will go with a Man that spent 5 and a half years at the Hanoi Hilton than some First Lady of the Clinton blow, or some Chicago upstart whom follows (possibly) a different captor altogether”
The Pastor could have chosen to NOT endorse anyone. Is John McCain saved?
