Probably already been said, but an American base, AF, Army, Navy, is considered by our laws to BE AMerican soil.
While on bases, American laws apply, and children born of American citizens at those hospitals are considered the SAME as any child born on US soil within the United States.
Half of our family was born in the continental US, the other half was born in North Africa (Noussseur AFB), and in Turkey (Cigli AFB) and they are considered to have been born on American soil.
I have never read such complete drivel as that spewed by the NYT.
What complete A-—s they are, and how stupid do they think the rest of us are? Obviously not one person on the NYT staff has ever met anyone in any of our militaries, or they would know that the article is a complete fabrication.
Good that they are showing their true colors this early. Quite humorous, actually.
Not only that, but the Canal Zone itself was an American Territory at the time.
(It would still be an American Territory if that great President and Statesman James Earl Carter Jr. hadn’t given it away.)
As much as I wish McCain WASN’T eligible to be President, the NYT is beyond even their usual level of stupidity with this.
