I had the “Does Lowell Weicker Make You Sick” sticker on my 1974 Dodge Dart. On election day, I drove people to the polls for the Republican Party.
(The unhappy ending is that Weicker came back and ruined the state as a third party governor)
Was Weicker a conservative in 1964? He just learned how liberal CT is and what it takes to survive there.
Ruined with an Income Tax specifically, and it has been drifting left ever since. Pretty State, but so messed up I could never live their again.
