It’s enough to give a guy.... courage.

Lemme guess - a vast right-wing conspiracy...
I love the smell of schadenfreude in the morning.
S&##s to be you Dan! Go retire in Nicaragua.
“I, for one, welcome our new corporate overlords.”
He forgot about the black helicopters, Elders of Zion, the CFR, and Bildebergers(?) all adding flouridation to his well water to corrupt his precious bodily fluids!
Give it up, Dan. The reason they are sitting on the documents is because they are trying to protect your senile old butt. The documents probably prove you were full of caca.
It it takes more evidence to prove he was right, he did not have the evidence when he made his claim. A Rather strange view on news.
Of course it was, years before Bill Gates thought it up.
As opposed to liberal newscasters harping their wares unfettered.
It is an apt display of the times that someone with less than average abilities became a top line broadcast “journalist”. Heck, even when I was young and was listening to this clown, I detected that unmistakable sign of “complete vacuousness”. I imagine that many others did also. However, thanks to Little Green Footballs and some very sharp computer types, we geeks finally exposed Rather for the nothing that he really is. The fact that networks still trot this clown out as a representative of “gravitas” shows how shallow their gene pool really is.
“It is a fact that corporate overlords working in secret collusion with the powers in Washington are intruding far too often in far too many newsrooms,” he said.
Dan Rather is admitting that SeeBS-Viacom is colluding with the Democrats.
That was how he GOT the forged memos.
This isn’t an isolated event. Foleygate was also collusion between the Democrats and the media. They sat on the story and then blamed Republicans for “knowing” and “doing nothing about it”. The truth of that event came out in the subsequent congressional investigation.
The interesting thing is, Rather may be right. If CNN was willing to play footsie with Saddam to keep access, CBS may have been willing to accommodate the White House in the face of some similar threat, regardless of the merits of the TANG story.
Of course, the TANG story was a lie but the point is that there’s no reason to believe that CBS management responded to conscience instead of pressure, or that they’d act any differently if a story were true.
What was it Henry Kissinger said about the Iran-Iraq War? “Too bad they can’t both lose?”
Someone (Imus?)said years ago that if you heard a report that some newsanchor just went totally bats* * t on the air, without hearing the name, station, national or local, etc, you could be pretty sure it would wind up being ol’ Danno.
I think he then went on to compare watching Dan during his nightly broadcast to watching a hostage tape.
‘Corporate Overlords’???
Man..old danny boy has gone off the cliff...LOL
