This issue had already been fully debated in threads years ago, so really there was no point in discussing it again. The topic was Obama's change of heart and some took that opportunity to try to re-argue the whole case. We aren't going to convince each other.

I do find it predictable that some of those that most loudly proclaim they are fighting for righteousness are the first and usually only ones to use invective, ad hominem, and other reprehensible tactics and discourse, not to mention hyperbole and emotional appeals.

I'll close with remarks about the case from Fred Thompson, showing that this is not a black-and-white issue, and there is plenty of room for reasonable people to disagree.

Thompson said that as far as he was concerned, “It should be decided by families. The federal government and the state government, too–except for the court system–ought to stay out of it.”

Then he added, “I will assure you one thing: No matter which decision you make, you will never know whether or not you made exactly the right decision. So making this into a political football is something that I don’t welcome. And this will probably be the last time I ever address it.”

Turns out, Thompson knew about Schiavo only too well

We are all well aware that you and your ilk would prefer that people think of Terri's death as a "one time event;" however, Terri was nothing more than a "test case" for the culture of death to see what they could get away with.

I was against Fred Thompson too. He was a feeding tube pulled up until his last super Tuesday. Then, he flip flopped.
