I was raised in the 60’s also.
The people I was raised were not like that.
I went to public school and had good teachers that taught us both academically and practically. We respected the Servicemen/women.
We were raised in a small town rural setting, I don't know if that made a difference or not.
That may be part but somehow we had to have been raised differently.
The last thing I would want would be for my mom to find out that I got in trouble at school. I didn’t and I don’t know what I thought would happen but it was to be avoided.
I wonder how many went off to colleges and how many started families?
