Interesting. Dividing Israel, which is quite different than creating a terrorist entity of some sort in the West Bank, territory Israel offered to return for peace in 1967. Clearly Obama is either ignorant of the issues, or thinking of dividing the State of Israel.

Likud, I'm not aware of Likud refusing to negotiate a palestinian entity. The conditions, that's the problem Obama must be concerned about.

Ceasing terror, if you can't kill the women and children in the nation next door, what kind of state is that.

IMO Obama isn't anti-Israel, he's simply clueless, totally dependent on his mentors, which range from racist ministers to communists to the good man Farrakhan. Far more dangerous.

His wife seems to have her act together, that seems to be a democrat thing.

Claiming that advocating a "two-state solution" doesn't make one "anti-Israel" is a good ploy for Obama to use with gullible Jewish and pro-Israel Democrats. That statement by itself is technically correct. Even Israel itself officially endorses a "two-state solution," as does the US.

The difficulty is in the details. What are the specifics of the "divided Israel" plan that Obama advocates? As you point out, there can be no "two-state solution" unless the deal compels the Palestinian entity to renounce violence and terrorism, at a minimum. Practically speaking, that is something that is not possible, given the history and mind set of the Palis.

Obama has shown no sign of being able to recognize that reality, and, as you point out again, he is unlikely to do so when one considers his background, mentors, and foreign policy advisors. Don't hold your breath waiting for Obama can get over that hump. Barring a stunning transformation on Obama's part, the pro-Israel community must reject his superficial advances.
