I’m curious you consider the slang term Gubmint racist? Why is that racist? I have heard uneducated White Folks saying that word before so whats your point?

I'm not sure why you are directing this question to me, since I haven't not referred to that, but yes, in this context "gubmint" would indeed be a racist term. Why else would the term be used or thought funny when referring to a black candidate.

For what it is worth I have been politically, socially, and religiously conservative for most of my life, and I have abhorred racism (both positive and negative racism) for that same period, if not longer. It sickens me when blacks like Jesse Jackson blame poverty on "white racism," because that in itself is racist, but it sickens me even more when racists dress up their racism as conservatism.

Making fun of a man's skin color (or even simply highlighting a man's skin color) by likening him to an ice cream flavor is racism no matter what the aim. It's not conservative, and I object to the dishonor it brings upon me and all others who see conservativism as a the best way to live. It shocks me to the core when men make fun of others based on the family to which they were born, and then excuse it base on conservative ideology.

Personally I believe that racism's home is in the Democrat party. Conservatives and Republicans should condemn it wherever they find it.

Again you have never heard an uneducated White person say the term Gubmint? When did that become a black stereotype word? and Obama is only half black so that makes him half white too so he is an interacial candidate not a Black one so lets get the facts straight.

“Making fun of a man’s skin color (or even simply highlighting a man’s skin color) by likening him to an ice cream flavor is racism no matter what the aim.”

So you are accusing Ray “Chocolate City” Nagin of being racist against blacks? Because really that is what you are saying.

“yes, in this context “gubmint” would indeed be a racist term. Why else would the term be used or thought funny when referring to a black candidate.”

No, it’s not.

Since I am the inventor of “S’more GubMint,” I will explain:

“S’more” is a candy flavor — marshmellow and graham cracker being the two primary ingredients, with chocolate being optional.

In addition to being a candy, it is often a flavor of ice cream.

The name in a contraction of the term “Some More” as in, “Mom, can I have s’more.”

The contraction is used by children of all races to refer to this culinary delight.

The term “GubMint” is a play on the fact that “mint” is also a flavor of ice cream.

The joke, is of course, that Obama promises “Some More Government,” and we are talking about ice cream.

I suppose I could have gone with GovMint, but that reminded me of the “Mint” that would involve printing money, and would distract, being what comedians call a “miscue.”

Anyway, where you got “GubMint” being racist must come from your own interal rascism and prejudice.

Maybe stop looking at the world with your prejudiced and bigoted eyes, and you won’t mistakenly see prejudice where it is not present.
