My first guess is that something has happened at the missile silos. Either an accident or perhaps something else.

SNIPPET: “Tabriz - 2nd Tactical Air Base (TAB-2)
The 2nd Tactical Airbase at Tabriz is located at N 38°7’55” E 46°14’25” (38.13194, 46.24028), roughly 10 miles northwest of the city of Tabriz, which is the capital of East Azerbaijan Province. The base less than 100 miles from the Azerbaijan and Armenia border and less than 200 miles from the Turkey and Iraq border. The airbase serves both civilian and military purposes. It is part of the Western Area Command of the Iranian Air Force.
According to a August 3, 2001, Zerkalo news artilce, two air squadrons are based at Tabriz which consist of 17 F-5 aeroplanes and four US-made military helicopters. TAB-2 is the headquarters of the Northen Helicopter Command and unammed aerial vehicle (UAV) logistics support.
In 2003, the Iranian Air force manufactured a chamber for testing engines of MiG-29 aircraft. This chamber was successfully tested at the Tabriz base.
The base is home to three tactical fighter squadrons (21st, 22nd, and 23rd), which consist of F-5E/Fs and MiG-29s.”
OPINION - SPECULATION
That’s the first thing my husband and I thought of — some type of work accident.

Reuters is quoting Fars as the source. But it hasn’t made it to the Fars website, at least not the english version anyway...
Thanks maquiladora.
Also, when something does make it to the “English” news; the version(s) can be quite different than the original foreign news source(s).
Maybe some Israeli jets dropped some ordnance.
I don’t think Israel would have attacked while Olmert is in Japan. Any Israeli attack on Iran would be met with a counterattack and it would be Olmert would want to be around for that.
I hope the good guys blew up a nuke facility.
TEHRAN (Reuters) - An Iranian official said on Monday construction work caused a blast in the northwestern city of Tabriz. "The workers were blasting the Einali mountain to build a road," an official in the Tabriz governor's office told Reuters by telephone.
It seems very unlikely that construction blasting well outside of town would break windows across the city. I am calling Bravo Sierra on this, meaning that the mullahs have something very serious to hide.
Good point. He’s right down the street from me right now.
That’s interesting and thanks AmericaninTokyo.

Nothing to see here. Just a few propaganda bombs containing Hillary vs Obama primary results being distributed to inquiring minds that want to know in foreign lands. Carry on. ;^)
Thanks for the info.
