So you will vote for someone like Thompson who, regretably, has no shot. That will subract a vote from the R meaning one less vote the Ds have to overcome.
I don't like it anymore than you do, but I want beat Obama like a rented mule. If that means voting for McCain, so be it.

I will repeat post my philosophy:
A vote for the lesser of two evils is still a vote FOR EVIL.
We continue to vote for evil, regardless of the name or party, we share guilt in the further destruction of our country.
