>>Mike Huckabee for Senate

It’s not a bad idea:

An increasingly favorable attitude toward Mike Huckabee inside the conservative movement, nurtured by his presidential campaign against Sen. John McCain, is threatened by the former Arkansas governor’s refusal to run against Democratic Sen. Mark Pryor this year.

Polls show Huckabee is the only Republican with a chance to unseat first-termer Pryor.<<

politics1.com says the filing deadline is April 2008 with the primary being May 20. Thus far there is no Republican running against Mark Pryor.

The deadline is march 10th. On March 5th, Huckabee should seriously sit down and think this through. On March5th, he will know whether the continued run for President is futile or worthwhile. It is increasingly futile, and a more productive avenue would be for Senate. I am guessing he could get a lot of support from around the country to run for the Senate.
