Cuban democracy means you get to vote for one man, one time. Isn't that great? No need to ask the consent of the governed to exercise power.

must be weird and unpleasant, after a lifetime working for your brother’s dictatorship, to have him be invalid or dead, and know your own reign will be the end of his work AND probably fairly short-lived just in terms of your own mortality.
