Virginia parents succeed against pro-homosexual book

Parents in one Virginia County have successfully forced the removal of a book, which promotes homosexuality, from their local elementary school.

The book, titled And Tango Makes Three, is based in part on the story of two male penguins that temporarily form a couple to raise a penguin chick. Peter LaBarbera with Americans for Truth About Homosexuality says he is not surprised that the homosexual propaganda piece is still showing up in elementary school libraries.

"One of the more insidious aspects of the homosexual agenda has been its willingness to manipulate young people's minds to promote homosexual behavior," he warns. "We shouldn't be talking about homosexuality to kids who are years away from understanding ... what normal sex is ...."

Critics say the book does not explain that the real penguins -- on which the story is based -- split-up as soon as a potential female partner was introduced into their environment. And one of them later mated with her.

"In other words, the homosexual activists recommend a story, which is ... not even a true story," LaBarbera argues. "The penguin who returned to normalcy, of course, the kids don't know about that.

LaBarbera admits he is not surprised at the willingness of homosexual activists to use deceit to promote their agenda. "The homosexual activists know that they have to change minds very young and equate homosexuality with love before the parents can inculcate their own values," he continues. "So that's why these books are insidious, because they're ... trying to change these kids' minds and their moral framework ...."

The book is now only available to teachers and parents in Loudon County, Virginia, elementary schools. Middle and high school students can read it with no restrictions and without permission from or notice to their parents.

The left has a long history of misconstruing facts to fit their agenda.

I like the fact that a group of concerned parents were able to effect a change. Without these alert parents this type of garbage is allowed to remain for the little ones.

Thanks for the heads up. I live in a near-by county and hadn't heard of this

Gee, imagine that.

And the critics' critics will point out that this proves that Reparative Therapy has only a 50% success rate!

So right-thinking parents succeeded in getting this book out.

And so they will continue to send their children to a state-run child-warehousing collective.

I am opposed to ALL initiatives to “improve” government collective schools. Let them drive out as many people as possible. There are always going to be people who just don’t get it, but the goal of right-thinking people should be to let the government schools get bad enough to drive out 51% of all children. At that point, the people who are out of these collectives can start defeating ALL funding for them.

The homosexual lobby promotes the book as a cute educate the kids piece, but then neglect the addendum that one of the “homosexual” penguins later ran off with a young female named Scrappy. If the homosexual penguin later decided he was heterosexual, then so could the human kind ... oh, wait, the truth would interfere with the book’s lesson ...

Anyone who is interested, may like to listen to the homosexual activist’s arguments first hand, as one debates David Parker on a recent radio interview. The host is libertarian, and supports homosexual marriage, but even he is against this kind of indoctrination. It was a good show!

You can hear the interview by clicking on the link, scroll down the page.

the real penguins split-up as soon as a potential female partner was introduced into their environment.

This concerns me even more.

It reads like a controlled experiment where male penguins were confined without any females within sensory perception, a forced corruption of nature.

Then, the males formed couples for the protection and nurturing of their species young. Fairly advanced behavior, but not unusual. Males of many species share in the work of raising young. Homosexual activities were not reported? Possibly because the penguins did not engage in them?

This looks like a research setup to relate, as normal, homosexual activities, and cover up the normalcy of the penguins as soon as the manipulation of their environment ceased.

The Bible, but it's banned in most schools.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I agree with you Arthur McGowan.

Attempting to reform or improve government schooling is futile. Why? Answer: Because the premise upon which they are built is faulty. Government schools always were, are now, and always will be in conflict with freedom of conscience, and every God given First Amendment human right.

In this particular incident parents were successful in removing access to this book by elementary students but middle schoolers and high schoolers will have full access. This is some how a victory? I don’t think so. I’d call it a band aide.

By the way, I went to the link provided by the article. I noticed that even in our nation’s most conservative states there are high schools that will be participating in the national Day of Silence ( April 18th). Even in the cities known to be the **most** supportive in the U.S. of family values, ( for example, Provo, Utah) the national Day of Silence is scheduled to be observed.

Honestly, if Provo, Utah, is infected with this depravity there is no where else to go. Provo, Utah, is the end of the homosexual road!

Parents it is past time that you removed your children. Some government schools are now so dangerous and so morally corrupt that even in the very worst case scenario of a child receiving no education whatsoever would be better than subjecting him to this level of toxicity.

Teachers: It is now time to evaluate whether or not you can remain in the government schools. Are you actively, vocally, and visibly protesting and refusing to cooperate? If so, you risk being fired. If you aren’t protesting and refusing to cooperate, then you are aiding and abetting evil. If you are not strong enough to vigorously protest then quit.

To all: It is time to start asking teachers and government school employees some tough questions:

1) What are you specifically doing to combat the moral depravity, homosexuality, and atheistic Secular Humanism in your government school?

2) If you are being very vocal and forceful in your protests and refusal to cooperate, why haven’t you been fired yet?

3) Why haven’t you quit?

Arthur McGowan, hopefully the government school system will collapse in time to save freedom. If the government schools succeed in indoctrinating another generation or two of voters, all freedom will be lost in the voting booth. If the U.S. falls, then the world will suffer though another very long Dark Age.

Two bills in the MA House and Senate. H1722 and S905. Section 24 would effectively ban any literature or discussions that can be construed as anti-Gay. There is no Religious Exemption.
