It is no longer he said - she said. If only technology had solved this problem in all cases. Instead, the problem has shifted to one in which it is agreed intercourse occurred. The female says she was raped, the male says it was consensual.
The only way to defend these cases is to challenge the credibility of the victim. A good example is the Kobe Bryant case.

It is very true that money and fame speak volumes. I suppose I should have said that the task became quite a bit easier than before DNA testing. But good investigators can find additional forensic evidence as well. And so many victims have visible injuries as well. It's too darned bad that lie detectors aren’t admissible evidence. If for no other reason to cast doubt on the alleged perpetrator and cause more digging.
