I will vote for McCain although at first I said I couldn’t. After hearing Obama’s 45 minute speech, I realized how dangerous he is.

I can’t see handing 8 years of the presidency to communists. If congress is loaded with leftists, and the president is a communist, our country will never be the same.

Essentially, we will have to choose between a communist (Clinton or Obama) and a democrat who’s a very few steps to the right of them (McCain). Unbelievable.

McCain is to the right of most of the RINOs in the Senate--it just happens that when he opposes the conservative position it tends to be a major hot-button issue (like illegal immigration or campaign finance reform). Still, he was tortured by the Communists for five years while Hillary was rooting for the North Vietnamese to win and Obama was attending a Muslim school in Indonesia.

Either Obama or Hillary would be the most left-wing President the US has ever had. It wouldn't be identical to Soviet Communism because that had features which derived from the Russian past. I doubt they would try to shut down churches, for example...but I could see them following the Canadian model of trying to silence churches from expressing views contrary to the Left's (abortion, gay rights, etc.).

A term is 4 years then we get to vote again for a new slate of candidates.

Unless, of course, McCain gets elected. The the GOP will expect everyone to support the Republican ticket because whoever the Democrats run in 2012 will be the candidates that will destry the country...unless McCain is re-elected.

Obama, Clinton, Nader, etc can be voted out in 4 years but McCain will seek re election and teh GOP will demand you vote for him.
