Saudi Men Arrested for Flirting
Right On the Right ^ | Feb. 23, 2008 | Staff

If Sharia Law was in place in the United States, I would've been hanged years ago for some of this. Via Michelle Malkin, this story from our ally Saudi Arabia should give us a hint about picking our friends:

ROTR- Saudi FlagProsecutors in Saudi Arabia have begun investigating 57 young men who were arrested on Thursday for flirting with girls at shopping centres in Mecca.

The men are accused of wearing indecent clothes, playing loud music and dancing in order to attract the attention of girls, the Saudi Gazette reported.

They were arrested following a request of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice.

The mutaween enforce Saudi Arabia’s conservative brand of Islam, Wahhabism.

Earlier in the month, the authorities enforced a ban on the sale of red roses and other symbols used in many countries to mark Valentine’s Day.

The ban is partly because of the connection with a “pagan Christian holiday”, and also because the festival itself is seen as encouraging relations between the sexes outside marriage, punishable by law in the kingdom.

The Prosecution and Investigation Commission said it had received reports of such “bad” behaviour by 57 young men at a number of shopping centres in the holy city of Mecca, the Saudi Gazette said.

The Sharia practicers really don't like Valentine's Day. Wahhabism, by the way, is the brand of Islam that Osama Bin Laden practices. As for the word Conservative describing it, a more apt word would be medieval, as Charles points out. Take a careful look at Islam...

Yeah, go ahead, feel superior until you lose your job for committing the same crime here in the U.S.! It happens every day! The ideology is different but the results are pretty much the same.

Couldn't it be viewed as enticement to danger? I mean, if any girls actually did more than just notice, i.e., speak to one of them, wouldn't their lives be in danger? Deadly entrapment is what it sounds like to me.

Saudi Arabia carries our water with OPEC. Some members of that outfit (Iran & Venezuela, to name two), would like to rig OPEC policy against us, and grind us into their oily slime. But Saudi Arabia, along with some of their buddies, like Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Oman, et al, they stay on our side.

This isn't exactly a victory for U.S. foreign policy, but more of a quid pro quo. We do for the Saudis, and they do for us. This is one way in which we keep US dollars as the world oil trading currency, rather than Euros. But it's a whole lot more complicated than what I have just written.

Thank Gawd that we live in a free society under the jurisdiction of personal freedoms in the USA!

Why, under Sharia law something stupid like showing a noose or necktie upside down in public may be considered reason for persecution....

Not yet, they lose their jobs, as I said, but they should get arrested for a lack of imagination!

Wearing indecent clothes, playing loud music and dancing in order to attract the attention of girls? Right. Sure they were.

--Snip--
The Valentine’s Day celebration is not our culture as it usually relates closely to immoral acts where, during the celebration, young couples tend to hug and even kiss each other. This is an immoral act......

They're still living in 1200BC. And their leaders are hypocrites
because when they leave their country they buy every whore that comes along.

Death to those without money...
