It no secret that Barak Obama referred to the Captain as being in command of a regular infantry rife platoon, not a special forces unit that might of been using enemy weapons to blend into the local scenery.

Good point, that Special Forces are the ones using that deception tactic. It is reported though, that some regulars get a taste of firing AK’s in combat training. I can’t say why. I hasten to add that I have no direct knowledge here beyond what I read.

A Lt. I know had a problem with Equipment. He kept getting into trouble for having too much equipment for his unit size. Seems he believed, you could never have enough firepower. Always picking up or borrowing bigger guns.
