“So you say that self determination is only available on a selective basis?”
So, you support the dissolution of the United States through illegal immigration? You support the al Qaeda-aligned KLA running Kosovo?
That’s what happened in Kosovo.
“The bloodbath will happen sooner or later anyway unless we find a way of peacefully giving these people the government they want.”
That’s called “surrender”, “submission”, and “appeasement”. With wisdom this grand, you must work for the State Department.
You might also ask if these people have the right to take state property like the mines.
Also, do surrounding states have the right to intervene if the new minorities are attacked?
I've been there and had run-ins with them during their illegal trafficking. They are mainly in the criminal business, that is how they get around to making a living since they can not work for the govt at any level.
They can not get police jobs, join the military because of it. They are denied work because of it.
You support illegal activity, pleni. You have a connection to the albanians.
Lets think like this:
Putin: “Our transport planes with two airborne divisions are overflying your country. Do you mind that?”
Bulgarian president: “Do I have a choice?”
Putin: “No.”
Bulgarian president: “Ok then.”
“Papers please!”
Sorry this is the Gestapo or KGB speaking.
If they are illegal, deport them, if they are legal give them papers. Easy.
How many times. I don’t support illegal immigration, or al Quaida.
Giving a group of people what they want isn’t appeasement, it’s freedom, and democracy in action.
“Giving a group of people what they want isnt appeasement, its freedom, and democracy in action.”
Giving a group of demanding illegal alien Muslims what they want IS appeasement.
“Democracy” leads to tyranny, by the way.
“Also, do surrounding states have the right to intervene if the new minorities are attacked?”
Fair point. I think in the case of Kosovo, the boundaries will have to be redrawn along ethnic lines. And, yes if the Kosovo Serbs are attacked by the Kosovo Albanians, then they have the right to defend themselves, and Serbia would have the right to assist them.
See, it’s not all one way traffic. The Kosovans will come to understand this, but these things take time.
So they covertly pre-position equipment using commercial transport, and a few tens of thousands young fit Russian males decide to vacation in Serbia
History proves you wrong. The Bulgarians denied flyover to the Russians during the last Kosovo war.
As someone said on this thread earlier, "that was then, this is now."
Romania is opposed to the recognition of Kosovo, so, perhaps Bulgaria doesn't matter.
“Giving a group of demanding illegal alien Muslims what they want IS appeasement.”
I didn’t ever say that.
Democracy leads to tyranny, by the way.
I thought having a tyrant leads to tyrany?
No they can’t. All flight plans would have to be filed. A bit of a giveaway as to their intentions. They would have to use heavy lift aircraft to get equipment in which would also raise alarm bells. No NATO country surrounding is going to allow use of its airspace for such actions. How would they maintain resupply of said troops?
They denied Yeltsin....
Now, Bulgarians signed gaspipeline deal and took $3,5 bn loans from Putin...
Oh, Greece is buying Russian weapons...
Please get real. Bulgaria is a NATO member. You are living in a fantasy land. Russia is hamstrung over Kosovo. It is not going to war or confrontation over this issue.
“I didnt ever say that.”
That’s this circumstance. The one you’re cheering on.
“I thought having a tyrant leads to tyrany?”
No one reads history anymore, do they? What was the percentage of Brits who thought Sherlock Holmes was real and Churchill was fictional again?
So self determination=appeasement?
What does Sherlock Holmes have to do with the price of fish?
“So self determination=appeasement?”
Do you understand anything about this situation at all?
“What does Sherlock Holmes have to do with the price of fish?”
You’re from England, right?
Greece, NATO country:

MOSCOW.(Military commentator Nikita Petrov for RIA Novosti)- The Athens authorities have decided to buy 415 BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles from Russia.
Greece is a NATO member, and so its decision to buy military equipment in Russia could be seen as sensational. However, it is not the first time Greece has bought weapons from Russia.
Nearly all of its air defense system consists of Russian-made weapons, such as the portable Igla missile system, the Osa-AKM, Tor-M1 and Buk-M1-2 short- and medium-range systems, and the S-300PMU-1.
Moreover, Greece also has the Russian-made Fagot and Kornet antitank guided missile systems, and the world’s largest military hovercraft, Zubr (NATO reporting name Pomornik).
But this time Greece is buying many infantry fighting vehicles for more than 1.2 billion euros.
