PHOENIX - Federal authorities announced corruption charges Friday accusing Rep. Rick Renzi of engineering a swap of federally owned mining land to benefit himself and a former business partner and stealing from his insurance company's clients.
A lengthy federal investigation that had put the three-term Republican congressman under a cloud for more than a year culminated in a 26-page indictment issued Thursday against him and two other men. Renzi announced Aug. 23 that he wouldn't run for re-election in Arizona's mostly rural 1st Congressional District.

If he were a member of Hillary's or Obama's presidential campaign, it wouldn't have been mentioned. When the MSM gets through with McCain, he'll be recalling his time at The Hanoi Hilton and torture by The Viet Cong wistfully.
Renzi is/was my congressman. The ‘RATS are delighted about this because this is a heavily DemocRATik district and they can’t get a DemocRAT elected here. They’ve been after Renzi since he was elected. He’s just another Republican that forgot to duck.
I wouldn’t be surprised if McCain threw this guy overboard now..so that he would ‘look squeeky clean’ come September->November!
These crooked Repulbicans don’t seem to understand that you can’t get away with something like this unless you are a Democrat.
Or, like McCain learned, you have to give some DemonRats a piece of the action.
