I see your point, but shouldn’t the republicans on the committee screamed bloody murder about this and oppose it without any hesitation? Instead, it seem as though they just sighed, shrugged their shoulders, and let this crap flow on through without the sligtest challenge.
It’s the lack of a backbone that’s the core issue here....we are already acting like we are back in the 1980’s when our own Illinois House Minority Leader Bob Michael was ok with being a loser.

This has already passed the full House with a voice vote. If ONLY ONE Republican had the intelligence to ask, they would have had to at least have a recorded vote, but they were all asleep at the wheel. Even if they don't have the votes, let's make the Dems and RINOs put their names to these things. I do blame them for that.
Let's hope it doesn't slide through the Senate like it did the House, because I do believe Dubya will sign it.
Lugar calls himself Republican, runs as a Republican and is elected by Republicans--yet he CO-SPONSORED this bill. Do you really think he co-sponsored it to get it out of committee solely in order to defeat it? THAT really would be retarded.
