Going after CREW doesn’t change the fact that McCain sells himself as being against special interests when he’s really no better than anyone else in Washington.
Look for a lot more Huckabee promotion by the DBM as well... anything to take the focus off the Obama/Clinton death-match.
No matter what happened with the woman, what he did was wrong if not illegal. And most of this election staff are Washington lobbyists. He sold out to special interest long ago.

You know, I've read the actual NYT story, and I still am not sure what they are saying he did wrong. Maybe you can enlighten me. ALl I read was some unsubstantiated innuendo, not even a straightforward allegation of improper behavior.
That’s bull. YOU need to listen and read more. He did NOT demand approval. He demanded they make a decision after dragging their feet for over a year. The documents are out there for anybody to see.
Lobbying is protected by the constitution. Stop using lobbyist as a dirty word. Just like the Democrats use the words pharmaceutical company and oil company. That is just stereotyping. Of the thousands of lobbyists, very few are crooked.

The fact that the NYT and WP both hate McCain and are vehemently against him might get me fully on McCain’s side.
Aiken is a town in South Carolina. That’s why McCain lost the 2000 primary in SC—Aiken was flying around in a lobbyist’s plane instead of staying put and voting for him.
