“No successful military action has ever — or likely will ever — involve only air power; ground troops must be involved. While a stealth jet will likely always escape the “primitive” weapons of the Serbs, a bullet aimed at a soldier can be very primitive, yet just as effective as the most modern of firearms.”

First time for everything. If memory serbs me correct, air power did in fact stop the conflict,no?

Actually, the NATO attack on Serbia did very little damage to the Serbian armed forces. Most of the deaths were civilian.

It’s a curious thing that the press gave clinton a free pass for bombing civilians, but rabidly attacks Bush for the Iraq invasion, which caused less collateral damage, possibly, than any previous war. They even kept their mouths shut when he bombed the Belgrade TV station, which had been so hospitable to them. It was shameful. The current MSM war reporters are the anti-Ernie-Pyles.

Serbia finally gave in because we were starving and freezing their civilian population, bombing reservoirs and power supplies, destroying bridges, cutting off food supplies, destroying trains and apartment buildings. But it turned out that we never hit more than a few of their tanks, only cardboard models.

No, Ron Paul knows very little about the practicalities of war or, seemingly, anything else. He entirely lacks wisdom and prudence or any sense of the real world. But he was at least accidentally right in suggesting that clinton’s Yugoslav adventure was fought on the wrong side and against our national interest. A stopped clock. . . .

Yes, massive aerial bombing of mostly civilian targets ended the conflict for a while.

However, nothing is ever settled until it’s settled right. If (I would say when) the conflict starts anew, will you be prepared to follow Obama or Clinton for another round of this - especially when, like Clinton, they are given a pass on war crimes by the media?

Will aerial bombing suffice if Russia becomes involved? Will you support WWIII against Russia to support a Muslim state built on the ashes of Serbia’s homeland?

Will you support Palestine when it issues a unilateral declaration of independence? Will you support massive aerial bombing of Isreal if necessary?

How about a UDI for Aztlan? Will you support that?

Just questions to ponder.
