Things won't have to get that bad if all those folks finally vote accordingly, i.e. against the left. If we're stuck with McCain, and it's not over yet, nobody is saying he's much to vote for. If we take back the Congress, McCain can be restrained from doing more damage. The opposition doesn't care if you get killed in their lust for power. The next two links make that pretty plain.

How many people are actually ready?
Probably more, either in numbers or as a percentage of the population, than were prepared for either the American Revolution of the 1700s, the Finnish Civil War of 1918, or the breakup of the Soviet Union in 1991.
There's no way anyone could ever be completely prepared for all the possibilities that could evolve from such a situation at this time. But so far as being aware and having made at least the basic preparatory steps? There are literally thousands.
Ready or not, when the big dance starts, it will start. Ready won’t matter.
