Thanks for the ping TB.

I just bought 2 new laptops, both duel core Turions. Does anybody have any suggestions applying these to folding? I never bothered reading any laptop info, as I never owned one until today. I’m runnin a duel on Viper, so setting up won’t be the problem, I think my concerns would be the health of the laptop. Where does sleeping and hibernating fit in?

Thanks for any and all help/suggestions.

I adjust sleeping and hibernating on my lappy as such:

Sleep when I close the cover and hibernate when I push the power button. That it.

F@H disengages just like any other program and resumes as we expect.

HOWEVER, I only run the console version 5.04 on my dual core, running two instances, one on each core.

I quit running SMP since I couldn’t guarantee completion of the work unit before the WU expired.

Two console work units won’t get as many points, but the science is still important and I never lose any work units.

Each core completes a WU in 30 - 48 hours, on average.
