MILWAUKEE (Reuters) - Barack Obama has surged past Hillary Clinton to open a big national lead in the Democratic presidential race, according to a Reuters/Zogby poll released on Wednesday.
Obama also leads Republican front-runner John McCain in a potential November election match-up while Clinton trails McCain, enhancing Obama's argument he is the Democrat with the best shot at capturing the White House.
Among Republicans, McCain has a substantial national lead over his last major challenger, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, as he takes his final steps toward clinching the nomination.

for later
Hillays’s candidacy is approaching Huckabeeville.
You are? He leads McCain too.....
Not loving it so much
She is toast, her pantsuit is toast, her husband is toast...
I think there are rumors that they are going to go back to “The Hillary I Know” campaign. That will fire up the base to get out there and work for the Clintons.
This would tie in nicely with her new campaign about how she works the night shift. In that commercial, she sits at her desk late at night, working what is a night shift for her. She sits there at night thinking of new ways to win this campaign...............
Didn’t Zogby predict that Obama would win California by 10 percent? Why is Zogby still in business?
Just wait until all the behind-the-scenes books come out about working on her campaign.
There’s a word for this, is it Schau Fraud (sp?) a German word which means you take pleasure at someone else’s misfortune.
Well, it couldn’t happen to a nicer couple to see them go down in flames. (sarcasm definitely!)
And with a couple more negative attacks, perhaps Ron Paul territory.
Keep it up Hill!
He has faced NO tough questions.
The repubs have given him none. They will AFTER he gets the nomination.
You want to give Hillary a chance to get the WH?
Not me.
I’d hate to be the one who has to stick the fork in her.
And he will never have to.
Did anyone see her speech last night? To me, she sounded tired and defeated.
Beaten by a rock star. Bill will pay, severely, for the rest of his life....
yep those books will be fun. Among other things, they are all afraid of her. They are afraid to tell her any bad news, which helps explain how badly they have campaigned. They started from a good position of strength but were unable to react to events in the campaign.
I bet we’ll see some articles and columns come out comparing Hillary’s campaign to the Titanic.............
People will see this. Some will want to be on a winning team, while others will stay home knowing they will probably lose.
It’s NOT looking good for ole Hill.
Allow me (born in Germany) to help: Schadenfreude. I have it too!
Shadenfreude.
