I’m sorry to have sounded like I lump conservatives (I’m one myself-a Hunter/Thompson supporter like you)in with the Obama-loving airheads in the article. I didn’t mean that literally. However, you must admit there was a lot of “Condi ‘08” gushing going on among otherwise sensible folks who should have waited to see how she did at her current task before going nuts over her. It didn’t take long for me. I became disenchanted with her to an extent during her confirmation hearings. Same thing with Powell-lots of people projecting and indulging in wishful thinking before taking a cold look at the facts.
Condeleeza was a much better NSA than a SoS. The State Department is just too liberal and traitorous to be turned over in anything short of a purge.
