People I trust say that Obama will be harder to beat than Hillary! would have been.

Maybe I should be able to hold out for delayed gratification—but I just couldn’t be anything but thrilled to see Hillary! crashing and burning in the primaries—even if there’s a greater danger that Obama can beat McCain.

I am simply not buying that argument. Mrs. Clinton is failing now because she is not able to use the most potent weapons in her arsenal. The usual Democrat stand-by of race baiting is lost to her. Obama's "Historical First" trumps hers by a country mile. The Round-Heeled Media, for once, is not going to let her get away with going negative.

But in the General Election, all these constraints would be removed. Mrs. Clinton would release a sh!t-storm the likes we have never seen, and the Round-Heeled Media would back her up every step of the way.

Frankly, I think we lose either way, but I think that we have an outside chance at Bambi if we run a serious national security type campaign. But there is no way to beat Mrs. Clinton once she is running against the eeeeeeevil Republicans.
