Please allow me a dose of hardened market realism concerning Obama's landslide victory in Wisconsin. The race is over. Hillary is finished. The Clinton Restoration is over.
President Bill Clinton's political invincibility is over. Hillary's electability is over. Obama got to the far Left faster than she did. He out organized her in the precincts. He out fundraised her. He out speechified her. He out-hustled her. He out-dressed her. He out-presidentialed her. He outdid her and he outbid her for votes, one promised government check at a time.
A 15-point margin in Wisconsin is incredible. Wisconsin is a lot like Ohio except for the wacko ultra-Left Madison college population, which is even worse that Columbus's Ohio State. But there are so many campuses in Ohio that will go for Obama that it is no matter. Think faculty voters, grimly determined for a left-wing takeover of America " from the bottom up" to use the former Saul Alinsky community organizer's phrase. As goes Wisconsin, so goes Ohio.

I saw the tail end of Obama’s speech and none of Hillary’s. Heck, even I get hyped up at his speeches and I have to remind my self of reality.
We’re crazy to run McCain but the voters in the early primaries did us in.
What a crummy situation. It’s almost like we wanted to lose....or at least to see amnesty passed.
Progressive change clearly defines his intentions; his MO. . .and the idiology he is wedded to.
We are witnessing what the 'death of Reason' invites by way of the Obama embalmed. And while I do not know if this electorate can be resusitated; Repubs better start their own education plan on the meaning of words as they tumble from the mouth of a closet marxist.
Absolutely not, but then it doesn't matter what I think, or for that matter, what 100% of conservative voters think. You have your choice of RINO Liberal anti-American Traitor or Genuine Liberal Socialist in a non-beatable package.
My Republican primary is in May 2008. It might as well be in 2050.
I guess Obama is going to be the nominee and possibly the President of the United States of America. God help us all. I can just see having Obama next to McCain...Yieks!!!
Ok I thoroughly agree with you!
I’m talking about the little bit of tiny joy on this single thread. I’ve plenty enough despair for where my country is headed. If FReepers get to indulge in a smattering of “ding dong the witch is dead” I wouldn’t be the one to hit them in the face over it. I grew up with that crap as a kid so I’ll leave it to somebody else to be the killjoy.

Senator Allen did us in, not the voters or the GOP. He was the only one who was a strong conservative with national broad appeal until macaca...
Right on the money. He is gonna be untouchable, and he will get crossover votes in big numbers.
The best the pubbies can do is beef up the House with new (real) conservatives and bide their time.
Excellent summation.
I didn’t watch Hillary’s speech tonight.
However, I heard a bit of Obama’s.
18,000 + in HOUSTON?
It sounded like a revival.
They love him...there’s no doubt about that.
I hope Hillary cheats her party out of their chosen one. ;o)
Too bad our primary system was set up by the party to benefit Giuliani.
Instead, it benefited a dinosaur.
if obama wins the white house you can be sure the dems will gain in both houses of congress.
I know, but that is already out there. If it had legs it would be running by now. Besides, homosexuality and drugs will only endear him to the Dems, and makes no difference to the middle.
You don't win elections by running a crusty old corpse rasping to a choir of a dozen or so party stockholders.
There are about 120 million voters. The winning candidate needs to appeal to at least half of them. McCain will probably lose in at least 50 states, and most of his Mexican provinces.
nothing is really out there right now. most americans don’t know who obama is
He may have, but he had better answers.
McCain doesn’t have many good answers at all.
I think Clinton Inc. would have used any dirt on Obama by now...
Obama has dangerous ideas too, but probably won't be able to implement much of them as president. Hillary on the other hand, would have a better shot at actually bullying her bills through legislation and really doing damage.
