BHS teacher accused of having sex with student

A Bentonville High School math teacher faces two charges after being arrested in connection with inappropriate contact with students.
Melissa G. Monroe, 32 of Bella Vista, was arrested Tuesday for sexual assault in the second degree and knowingly furnishing alcohol to a minor.
Bentonville police began investigating after receiving information that Monroe had been involved in a sexual relationship with a male student, a police news release states.
Monroe is in the Benton County Jail awaiting a bond and probable-cause hearing. For full details, see Wednesday’s edition of The Daily Record.

It sure seems a lot more common these days. I’m old enough to remember when most people could tell right from wrong, and many people had a sense of shame.
