Thx. I agree that it should be easy to “beat” the thing. Even assuming the operator is competent simply upsetting the Control Questions will throw the results way off. I like the idea of biting your tongue when the control question is asked. Saves on buying some exotic drug to do the same thing!

Actually, there are no drugs that will cause one to react more strongly to the control questions than to the relevant ones (which is the key to passing). But yes, polygraph countermeasures are simple, easily learned, and no polygrapher has demonstrated any ability to detect them.

I once read where you tape a thumb tack to the inside of your big toe and when answering the questions, you squeeze your toes together pushing the point into the neiboring toe and causing a good bit of pain that messes with measuring the veracity of your answers.
