The Fort Hood web-site is a great site, really enjoyed poking around there, and learned so much.

Ft Hood is also home of the 104th MI “the outriders”

Ft. Hood is also home to the 504th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade and U.S. Army Operational Test Command (USAOTC)

The 4th ID is moving to Ft. Carson, and the 3rd Armored Cav Regiment is coming to Ft. Hood. Check out the story on the Ft. Hood homepage. A 54 y/o retired (in '96!) Warrant Officer re-joins the Army and takes the fight to the enemy

After 9-11 he came back to Ft. Hood as contractor, (having been one of the first Apache intructor pilots, then he re-joined the army.

He's 4 years younger than I am, but whole lot grayer.

Although while I admire his actions, and am even a little jealous, I'm not sure I like what it says when the Army feels it needs to take this sort of person, and even older doctors, back on active duty or onto active duty from the reserves.
