Woven together with testimonials from more than 50 Vietnam veterans, archival audio and video footage, and never-before-seen photos, the special features the harrowing firsthand accounts of the brave men and women who lived through the war.
5 minute preview video...Battle at Ia Drang
Sierra squared, delta squared, eh? Just about what I expected when I saw the title, and just another reason to rejoice that Grandma and I kicked the cable entirely out of our place along with the d*** redrag “news”paper.
Probably will go out and get a new VCR/DVD player pretty soon, but that’s really more for the grandkids who haven’t started reading enough to get weaned off the brainsucker.
My first question is... Why the hell is National Geographic doing a special on the vietnam war? Don’t they have a cave to explore somewhere, or an endangered gnat to save?
Talk about going off the reservation...
That was Snake Shit, right? My Dad was right behind them in service. We were at Benning when they were fighting and Dad was in country within the year. Dad was Airborne Ranger and pilot.
LOL!
Yep, that was Snake Shit.
My thanks to your Dad, he’s a man to be proud of!
God knows that is right. He was fixed and fling wing on two tours. Part with the Crazy Cats if you know that.
Never really talks and can’t due to classified. Which is a shame; his salad board must have some stories. It is huge.
Oh, I know. And more I can’t say and even more I don’t know about.
Thanks for that video. It just went to Dad.
You’re most welcome, glad you forwarded it to him.
For Christmas he gave my brother and myself medallions from the Otter-Caribou Assn which represents part of that crew.
Sometimes I am watching Nat Geo, which has great programming, and catch myself wondering if I am watching a conservative channel. Off the top of my head-Inside Saddam was brutally honest, Inside 9/11 left me in tears, and Inside Viet Nam was pretty fair.
