Nothing. But it’s not as if this guy would have ended up dropping through a trapdoor even if we still had the death penalty. He didn’t actually kill anyone. A life sentence is that best possible legal outcome to this case....

YOU made my point, England is gaining nothing and wasting resources on this “person” and his hate filled family. In that sense, terrorism is winning. There is a lesson to be learn and a law that desperately needs re-writing in this case, because it would be in England’s interest( and humanities best interest) if this man ceased to exist rather then waste resources.
