Taiwan has no right to Kosovo opinion - China

CHINA reacted angrily to Taiwan's expression of support for Kosovo's independence declaration, bluntly telling the island it had no right to offer an opinion on the subject.
"It is known to all that as a part of China, Taiwan has no right or eligibility to give the so-called 'recognition' (to Kosovo)," foreign ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao said in a statement.
Mr Liu was responding to a statement from Taiwan welcoming Kosovo's unilateral declaration yesterday of independence from Serbia.
"Self-determination is a right recognised by the United Nations, and it is the people who are masters of their nation's future," the Taiwanese foreign ministry said in a statement.
"In no way should the independence of one nation be denied by another.
"Taiwan is a member of the international community that cherishes democracy and freedom, and the government is delighted that the people of Kosovo have the fruits of independence, democracy and freedom to look forward to."
Communist China reacted quickly to the comments from democratic Taiwan because it is deeply concerned that the island may be trying to push ahead towards independence of its own.
China and Taiwan split at the end of a civil war in 1949 and the mainland has vowed to eventually bring about reunification, by force if necessary.

And Kosovo, an integral part of Serbia has no right to say it is not a part of Serbia. Yet there it is. and the fools in the West gleefully accept and support the birth of a terrorist state in the heart of Central Europe.
Bush can't even wait for the corrupt state Dept to recognize the terrorist state before he chimes in with his support.

“It is known to all that as a part of China...”
That doesn’t stop Oakland CA from impeaching the President. Why should it stop Taiwan from expressing its opinion?

And Kosovo, an integral part of Serbia has no right to say it is not a part of Serbia. Why not? Leaving aside the "might makes right" argument, if the vast majority of the province are Albanian and do not want to be dominated by Serbia, with whom they have been in conflict for a long time, what is the "right" that makes Serbia's ambition for unity trump Kosovo's ambition for independence, in your opinion. Does Taiwan have a right to independence? Did the South? Just curious.

China was heard to say “You’ll have a G**damn opinion when I give you one.”
China then went on to light up another Pall-Mall, adjust their dirty ‘wife-beater’ t-shirt and yell “And get me another beer, b*tch”.

what happens when ethnic Mexicans become a majority in the south west US? Will the US support their independence? You would think the answer to that question would be obvious. But I don't think it is.
Actually Taiwan had a population prior to Chinese settlement. I don't really know what happened to them.
Now, because there are Chinese there, China seems to think it s part of China.
To look at it practically; it doesn't matter what I think. The US does not support independence for Taiwan and it certainly didn't support independence for the South (I assume you mean the southern states in the US). Yet the US does support independence for an entity that will bode no good for any western nation.
Ethnic Albanians have basically colonized a province in Serbia. At some point, I believe they will become part of Albania.
The best way I can answer your question is to say that I would support independence for an entity if it were beneficial to the US. I would not support the creation of an entity that could harm the interests of the US.

Well, the Mexican majority, if it occurs, will have to deal with the Asians, blacks, and whites who don’t want an independent state. Furthermore, you are assuming the Mexicans are unanimous in this opinion. They aren’t. You have a few politician wannabees who think they can be the new state leader, when they’d be run out of town by opportunistic Californian politicians.

Taiwan seems to believe that the ethnic Albanians are entitled to "their own nation" and that nation is Kosovo, which happens to be in Serbia. How long before these Albanian squatters decide that they should be part of their true motherland? Or the motherland decides it for them?
In any case Taiwan's fate is sealed. The US does not support their independence.

What makes you think the Asians, Blacks, or Whites will have any more say about it than the Serbs did? Kosovo has been part of Serbia a lot longer than the Southwest has been part of the US and it counted for nothing.
How many American politicians would oppose giving back to Mexico what is rightly theirs (in the eyes of the reconquista mob).
