Once again, you need the woman to be seen in the eyes of the law as the victim of the crime, since (after the flush) she's the only victim left.

I'm sorry but that is very tortured logic, makes pro-lifers seem at best unsophisticated and simple or at worst disingenuous. Ultimately, it plays into the hands of the pro-abortionists.

You can't consider abortion murder but then automatically assign one of the agents of the murder "a victim" because it makes your position more politically appealing.

Would the mother of a 1 year old child be considered a "victim" if she felt the child was an inconvenience murdered it?

Well, politically speaking you have a choice. Would you rather (a) shut down the abortion industry by going after the providers, with post-abortion women as your allies turning state's evidence, and saving hundreds of thousands of lives, or (b) trying unsuccessfully to get convictions against post-abortion women, and saving nobody.

Because I assure you those are your choices. It is not possible to shut down the abortion industry without post-abortion women testifying against abortionists.

No. However, in this case it makes sense to prosecute the woman, because there would be other people (other than herself) who were aware of the child's physical being, his reality. There would be the child's father (maybe), grandparents, siblings, neighbors, relatives and frinds; there would be the OB/GYN who delivered the child, a birth certificate, a hospital record, a Social Security number, a name on an insurance form; there might be a pediatrician or a daycare provider or somebody else who knew that the child even existed in the first place.

And a woman who murdered a one-year-old would have to get rid of the body, which would not be as easy as you might suppose: and the corpse could be autopsied, cause of death determined, and the murderous mother prosecuted accordingly.

None of this is necessarily true for an unborn baby. Nobody need know he even existed except his mother. And in an early abortion there's no way to prove whether it was an abortion or a spontaneous miscarriage, and the remains can be disposed of a easily as couple ounces of chicken liver.

You want to make the prosecution of the woman a part of your political justice project? I'm here to tell you it will accomplish nothing. The professional chop-shop guys will be impossible to prosecute and free to pursue their careers as serial medical murderers.
