Darn! I had a different scenerio in mind. :)
“if they give it to hillary - how many blacks do you think will vote for her come Nov.? I mean, AFTER the riots” ~ Maine-iac7
If Hillary grabs the nomination out from under Obama, do you think it’s possible McCain will persuade Obama to switch parties and agree to be his running mate? LOL
As crazy as this election year is turning out to be, nothing would surprise me.

You are exactly right, this is pure fantasy. In addition toe factors you cited, by doing this Obama would be forced to give up his US Senate seat.
And at Obama's age, he could be running for President 20-25 years from now. But only if he stays in the Dem party.

......I dont believe they are THAT stupid... But you never know......
It would appear that the good Mayor knows that the Senator from New York is an incompetent window dressing. He knows how ineffective she has been in getting him stuff and how arrogant she is when dealing with underlings. a a businessman, he knows that America can’t tolerate a full blown Marxist as President.

What does the Farmers Almanac say? Speculating on politics this year is like discussing future weather patterns.

I’m sure that Obama will win the nomination, and in spite of the Witch’s attempt to stop him with the latest gay sex scandal, that won’t do it. The media won’t touch it. That would be the equivalent of running a smear campaign on Martin Luther King.
We might as well face it, Obama has become America’s savior. And America has become something our forefathers would never have dreamed in their worst nightmares. This whole nasty trend has to play itself out through self destructive events.
All we can do is plan a strategy for picking it back up after it falls.

Does anyone know how to link a few episodes of Steve Martins Leap of Faith to this thread?/ The one where it says Give up your Kenmore washer and dryer would be appropriate. Obama is a revival tent preacher. He has not a clue. Oh, he has a clue, alright. It's his fundi-followers who don't have a clue. He makes the sheep shearers on Grifter TV (TBN, etc. ad nausem) look like a bunch of amatuers.

...The word on the street is that the Obama campaign and New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg have already met and devised an incredible plan if Clinton wins steals the nominee (sic).
There, fixed it.
No votes for Obama in Harlem? Yeah and the Sun rises in the West.

Understand. But it’s not about stupid. It’s about ego and thirst for power.

Another reason that it would be nice to see Hillary make a comeback.

Bloomberg didn’t help Obama very much with the vote-counting in New York City.

"Obama would bolt from the Democratic Party and run as an Independent candidate with king-maker Bloomberg as his running mate..." Wow ... if it only could be true.
If Hill gets the nomination, but is challenged on the left by Obama, then Obama better watch his back. We all know the Clintons by now. If she steals that nomination fair and square, Hill and Bill will both be major-league pissed by having to run against someone whose vote they had counted on.
Actually, after 1992, this scenario would be fun to watch. Just desserts for the Clintons.
We all need to remember that Bush I would have won the election if Perot had not run as a third party candidate. Clinton only got 43% of the vote.

This may all be a lot of wishful thinking; but if Hillary actually took the nominationespecially through sleazy meansI bet there would be a lot of angry Obama supporters that would follow him on an independent ticket.
I agree. But I do not think that Obama will run on a third party ticket. It is political suicide for him. Third party candidates do not win. If Hillary somehow wins the nomination this year, Obama will make a few speeches for her. If she loses, Obama will be in a great position to run in 4 years. If she wins...well Obama has to wait 8 years...but he will still be young.

I'm not so sure. Say you're black and tired of the Democratic plantation taking you for granted. Now comes Obama and the Clintons change all the rules and steal the nomination from him. How many blacks are going to suck it up and vote for the beast? I'm thinking that a lot of blacks will rethink their blind allegiance to the Rats. The GOP had better open its arms and welcome blacks into the fold as equals instead of patronizing them and taking them for granted like the Rats have.
I think it would be more likely that blacks would stay home then that they would vote Republican. But most of them will line up and vote Democrat like they have always done. The black middle class hasn't been middle class enough generations to be Republicans.
I think Obama would turn out the youth vote in far greater numbers than Hillary...and the youths are the ones who are most likely to be turned off by dirty politics. Most adults, including blacks, know politics is a dirty business expect.

Only one hitch here, Bloomberg can’t give the Obama Campaign $1 Billon to do anything. Now of Bloomberg wants to self finance his own race fine, possibly he might be able to self finance with himself on the ticket. But he can’t give any money to someone else to run.
To: Junior_G
This is too good to be true, so I don’t buy it.
To: Junior_G
What if Obama begins to believe the messianic press accounts of his appeal, and he’s denied the Dem nod due to superdelegates? Isn’t the whole line that he is a "post politics" politician?
To: GWB00
I won’t believe it until I see the bodies pieces strewn everywhere at the Democrat national convention.
I’m going to be watching, gavel to gavel. Halloween XXII staring hillary clinton and barack obama.
