Other then Lee County and perhaps a few counties in the Panhandle, the religious right does not exert the political influence here that it does in some southern States. Charlie could help him win Florida. But that won't be enough to put him over the top nationally.
That's fine, Bubba. You can believe what you wish. But when Crist pulls a McGreevey I'll look up this thread and ping you.
Mr. Crist was wrong about the Schiavo case and simply took the coward’s way out. His Governor’s Commission on Disabilities includes people with brain injuries, yet, when he was AG, he did nothing to protect a disabled woman from starvation and dehydration for which there was no evidence she would have consented to.
It’s hard to imagine a Republican winning Florida, but of course, I live here in S. FL—Baja NY. Obama is amazingly popular down here. I have been asking my liberal friends (which means most of my friends) who they like, and they uniformly like Obama, although they all say Hillary would be ok with them too. So, regardless they will be voting Dem. My few conservative friends don’t like McCain (haven’t spoken to anyone who is planning to vote for him, except for Freepers) and they don’t seem to care for Crist, so it doesn’t seem that putting him on the ticket will help.
Of course, that is just here, it may be different in normal parts of the state.

Yes, tell us about F AG Charlie Crist’s CIVIL RIGHTS DEPT. It blew chunks.
It’s because of Crist’s not protecting Terri Shiavo that I have only contempt for him. He’s just like McCain, a RINO. You lean on someone like that, you’re going to find yourself on the ground - and all your conservative hopes, too. If McCain picks Crist, he’s an idiot. But it wouldn’t surprise me.
Which branch of the military did Charlie serve in? None of his bio’s mention it.
