Here is a detailed article re Barry’s mom. From what I gathered, she’s the one who wrote him off, at aged 9 yrs. when she sent him back to Hawaii to live with his kook grandparents. She divorced the second Muslim guy, but kept Barry’s half-sister with her in Indonesia. Strange stuff.

Also, there appears to be some question as to whether or not Barry’s father and mother were actually legally married.
