Despite your commentary, and the previous actions of McShamnesty....there will be “conservatives” who claim they “have to” vote for McCain because he’s a “Republican.”
By what claim is he a Republican, much less a conservative, that any conservative Republican would even THINK about supporting him, endorsing him, or voting for him?
If it weren't for 9/11, McCain wouldn't be a Republican. He was setting up for a challenge to Bush in 2004 but had part of his platform coopted by Bush with 9/11 so he came crawling back to the Party, trying to undo some of the damage he had done to his "Republican credentials" by promoting liberal programs. Unfortunately, the stubborn old cuss couldn't give up his liberalism and still foisted CFR on us, along with McCain Kennedy and the rest. Those that support him are the power mongers and the Rockefeller Republicans who want to turn the party leftward, as long as they still get their perks. Based on the network they've been setting up to profit from his Climate Stewardship nonsense, he's got a good list of supporters.
Let's keep up the pressure. Keep in mind the party dumped chairs Kenny Mehlman and Mel "amnesty" Martinez when conservatives said "no way."
Conservatives handily ditched party sweetheart, Rino Rudy. Running on the stupidest strategy in political history, the RINO was "saving" himself for Fla---and campaigned there 61 days straight. The more Fla voters saw and heard Rudy the more they were repulsed at the thought of him and his third wife in the WH.
McCain is in the same mold.
