This article misses the major point of the Fair Tax. Prices would not go up right now the tax the company pays is embedded in the cost of the goods, that embedded cost would go away.

Already been proved over and over again that ‘embedded taxes’ account for less than 8% of the average “retail price”.

Why would it go away? If I sell something, I’d keep the money. Or, will that be legislated, as in price controls or windfall taxes?
