Did not read the article but I think it will create an underground/barter society.
That's right! You and he are good buddy Reb bashers on the Confederate threads.
I almost forgot that you are part of the damnyankee coven.
Let's see....in the example you responded to the amount of FairTax paid in was $8,523.80 before the Rebate of $2,384.Really? I didn't know receiving a rebate was the same as paying taxes...That looks a lot like your exclusive tax rate on income theory...IOW, impossible. The $8,523 paid on NRST replaced 100-101% of the federal embedded taxes on retail products and services purchased. So your claim that there was no replacement of federal embedded taxes is shall we say one of your many interesting hallucinations that you frequently share on FairTax threads?
How is it then your before Fairtax worker (by your own 23% embedded taxes logic) paid income and payroll taxes, then paid the embedded taxes totalling $17,000 + dollars...Now suddenly 8,523.80 MINUS the Rebate of $2,384 is the same as $17,000?Thank you for continuing to display your very interesting arithmetic invention.
Interesting arithmetic invention indeed.
Never been on any such thread. I would dare you to back up your claim.
What are talking about?Yea and I'm talking about what an individual earning $100/hr can purchase before the Fairtax is added. My example was of an individual earning $100/hr but only seeing $70/hr after the imposition of the graduated income tax.
The whole ‘used food, personal items, medical care etc etc” poses a real problem. Oh, and the bill contains a provision for the “barter police”, but they won’t tell you that little gem...
You still haven’t proved you have any standing to ask them.
oh, and still can’t force yourself to post without an attack, eh?
First you post a lame article about the Fair Tax. Then you ping your support group. Then, when some unwary person comes along with a legitimate question or comment, you and your cronies blast him/her with nonsense.
Me: That's the MO of the Free Republic Income Tax Lobby Group
You:The funny thing about that comment is I can point to 100 pro-fairtax threads that do exactly that for every 1 you can point to.
What does posted replies have to do with anything???
It's got everything to do with it! Reread your own postings and try to keep up.
I posted the 100 with no problem. So there in your face.
You have awesome 'search' and 'copy & paste' skills. You must be a real stud down at the Starbucks.
I guess the truth and facts never seem important to you. Not that I am shocked. You can't change what was posted.
All you did was copy and paste. You didn't post a single item that backed up your statement that pro-FT's ping their cronies and blast legitimate questioners with nonsense.
Talk about bait and switch, you're the poster-boy. (Get it.....poster-boy...)
You can't change what was posted.
Neither can you. And apparently you can't remember it either.
LiarThat seems to be the only thing you ever post that you spell right and never have to spam the thread with your constant corrections.
No he hasn't.
Would you like another shot at it xcamel?
Q1: If the FairTax has 'zero chance' that congress would ever enact it, why do you anti-FairTaxers expend so much energy fighting it?
Q2: Tell us how you engineered the largest tax-free family business transfer ever?
simply unbelievable.

As you note in your statement above, the world we live in today is very different from Jefferson's world. I don't know for sure what position the founding fathers would ultimately take on the FairTax, but I am sure they would debate, question, and argue.
Does this small software company of yours turn a profit? Pay corporate taxes on its receipts? I never once mentioned the lower cost of operations had anything to do with the employees' tax cuts.
So unless your company is giving away its product for free, it's paying income taxes on the money it gets from its customers. That's the tax savings I was referring to - not saving that 7.6% on payroll.
But now that you mention it, that's yet another reduction in the cost of production. That means bottom line prices could actually be even lower than they are now, even including the tax. Thanks for the help in strengthening the Fairtax case.
Oh, the irony...
Have you n/ever(sic) seen a company that sells imported products pay income tax on it's sales receipts?
Another well reasoned and supported rebuttal...
If there is a FairTax, there ain't an income tax..........
We don't even know what the individual earning $100 an hour will be earning after the FairTax went into effect.
Touché. My wording was as bad as the post it replied to.
I should have said that for every $1.30 spent, .30 is taxes. And that is 23%. Just like the current system which is 'for every $1.30 earned, .30 is withheld for taxes'. Again, 23%.
That better?
