"If we continue to support Rinos because that is all that is offered, it is all that will EVER be offered"

Actually, there were at least a couple of conservative candidates "offered" this time around -- Hunter and Fred. And most of us on FR supported one of the two. Alas, they just didn't get enough votes to advance. Conservative nominees may be an endangered species, but conservative candidates aren't.

Part of the problem is that the primaries have been frontloaded with states that allow cross-over voting by dems and independents - THEY helped to select John McCain. That’s just wrong.

You’re correct, I should have been more specific. I would have gladly supported Thompson or Hunter (sadly, they were not in the race when it was my turn to cast a primary ballot). However, my point still stands. If the RNC offers me Rinos, I will continue to not support them.
BTW, why are the primaries done as they are? Is there a reason they cannot either all be on the same day, or rotate who goes first? It seems unfair that a few states can basically decide for the rest of us who we get to vote for.
